How to insert tracking links (Traceback URL) on images in marketing emails?
By using the "Insert Traceback URL" feature in Vital CRM, you can easily track the effectiveness of marketing emails. When editing a marketing email, the marketing personnel only needs to click on "Insert Traceback URL," and CRM will automatically add a tracking code to the URL to track whether customers have clicked on it and their subsequent browsing behavior on the website. The following demonstrates how to insert a tracking link on an "image":
For example, in a marketing email, you have inserted an image that leads to webpage A, as shown in the image below with the image highlighted in red. If your company wants to track how many customers have clicked on that image and entered webpage A, here's what you can do:
- Type a few words in a blank space. Then, select the entered text and click on "Insert Tracking Link," as shown in the image below.
- In the popup window for inserting a tracking link, enter the information. First, enter the text, and then paste the URL that the image should lead to. After entering the information, click on the "OK" button in the bottom right corner.
- Step 3: After completing the above steps, the text "12345" will be inserted with a tracking link. Double-click on "12345," and a popup window for the link will appear, as shown in the image below. Next, copy the URL.
- Click on the image, and then click on the "Link" icon at the top.
- Paste the URL copied in "Step 3" into the URL field for the image link. After completing it, click on the "OK" button in the bottom right corner.
- Step 6: After completing the above steps, the image will be inserted with a tracking link! Finally, go back to the email and delete the text "12345" that was initially typed.
