What is the difference between of "Save", "Save and Activate", and "Save as Template" in the Marketing Script?
Should I "Save", "Save and Activate", or "Save as Template" after completing the script?
1. Save
Despite of whether the recipient is filled, the status of the script after saving is "Not Active". This function is similar to saving it as a draft, and the script then needs to be activated manually.
Note: The recipients must be filled in before activating the script. The script will be sent to the designated customers/recipients.
2. Save and Activate
This button will save and directly activate the marketing script to be sent to the recipients filled (applicable to small number of customers).
3. Save as template
It can be applied to a large number of customers who needs meet a specified criteria. For example, it can be applied to customers with a certain tag or order; it can also be used with the New Customer Form (Refer to: How to send an Email using marketing scripts for New Customer Form?). When saving as a template, the template will not store the recipient, so it does not need to be specified in the script.
