What is the difference between "KnowledgeBase" and "Category"?

*KnowledgeBase: Stores information from each department into its own exclusive folder.
*Category: Cross-unit, collects documents of the same category, and is able to store documents from each department with similar attributes into its own category.

For example, let's say that each department has their own "New employee orientation" that is located in each of their respective folders. It may be difficult to access all of these "New employee orientation" documents all at once, therefore we can use Category to search for them.

When creating a new document, go to KnowledgeBase and select the folder which you wish to create the document in. After editing the content, select which category to add the document to.

Below is the Advanced Search interface:
The orange box indicates "KnowledgeBase" folder, and the green one indicates "Category" class.
